Around the start of Irish quarantine (Mid-March), I was contacted by the awesome Colin O'Mahoney to illustrate one of his comics, to be published online. I'm now chuffed to say that "The Animals of Penny Wood" will be available to read in the coming days (between now and the next update of Vulgar Vulgar -- maybe even for Halloween)! You'll be able to find it on Colin's site; I'll attach a link to his homepage for now (with some equally good content of his!), but will change it to the specific link once it's up.
It tells the tale of a gang of lively animals enacting some dastardly tricks on the local farmer, with some dire consequences. Bookmark this page, you really won't want to miss it.
In the meantime, give ESRA a read, Colin's previous collaboration with artist Podge Daly.
EDIT (30/10/20): The Animals of Penny Wood is up! Be sure to have a look by clicking the banner above.
👄👄👄!!! Nothin but mouths all the way down aksdfjakdsjfasf
(I'm diggin the Animals of Penny Wood art, btw! Your process infographic over on Colins site is super rad too- do you illustrate Vulgar Vulgar in traditional inks too? :O Thats so cooolllll)
Argh, thanks so much for giving it a read!! Vulgar Vulgar's made using *almost* the same process as The Animals of Penny Wood (although the pens I ink VV with tend to be a lot thicker for that pulpy sort of feel). So there's a [i]verrry[/i chonky folder with every VV page in it at the pre-colour stage (might bring it out for an update in the future if ye'd like to see my baby). It's something I get stick for, but I like making comics in (pretty much) the old fashioned way, with all the annoying scanning and goings-on that come with it!
